The Land Rover show season is about to start again and hopefully you will be attending at least one of them with your Series Land Rover. 2009 saw a shift in the centre of gravity of the show venues towards the north, with Land Rover Max making its debute at Newark, Notts. That show has now moved south to Stoneleigh. What we need is a major show located somewhere further north, especially with pump prices going up as they are. Hopefully somebody will get one organised for 2011. It's a long day if you can only attend for either the Saturday or Sunday of the show in a Series Land Rover that struggles to get above 50mph. Also, for the campers especially, it requires some serious logistics to get a family on the road and arriving at the camp site before dark. For those who attend alone (but always have to pay tickets for the non existent wife and two kids!) it's less of a problem. Regular show visitors know that there is a good chance of finding that elusive Series Land Rover part or the accessory you've been searching for. It's an opportunity also for seeing what others have done to modify, improve or maintain their vehicles. It's a fantastic place to get new ideas and to help out and learn from fellow enthusiasts. You won't find a larger gathering of dedicated Series Land Rover owners and their vehicles anywhere else. See you there. ![]() If you take your Series Land Rover offroad then it is worth noting that the Manby show and LandRover Max show have their offroad courses actually onsite.
