Scott Wickham's Range Rover/Series Land Rover Hybrid

This vehicle is a true hybrid. Scott started off with a 1984 Range Rover, stripped it down to the chassis and then rebuilt it using Series II, Series III and D90 body parts.
The project took about 16 months to complete at a cost of around $7,000.

A few of the photos of the hybridisation process are shown below.

In addition to the accessories visible in the top photo, Scott has added a new Optima red top, new chevy 94 amp alt., new volt gauge with a cover for the fuse blocks, a dog guard inside to keep his gear from whacking his skull and repaired the radiator (again).

Scott says she goes like stink and really throws the mud! Its great fun owning the hybrid, as it takes care of the three lacking areas of a stock Landie: Brakes, engine HP, and suspension. Gas mileage really sucks but that's not what he built her for, she's a toy for the weekends and a work commuter when it snows.

Scott was a founder member of the Fort Pitt Land Rover Group (FPLRG). See some of the offroad action on the clubs website www.fplrg.com

Thanks Scooter.
