Build Your Own Ride-on Model Series Land Rover
Building your very own Series Land Rover Toylander model from parts, is possible in 50/60 hours plus painting. A novel and innovative way to utilise your workshop practical skills would be to actually produce a vehicle to compliment your existing full-size version. Use either 12mm plywood or MR MDF for the body and when completed the model should be capable of being driven by an adult as well as children aged 3 and above. Each Toylander model Series Land Rover features forward and reverse gear, a foot and hand brake, lights, horn; folding screen and opening tailgate. The vehicles are designed to be powered by an electric motor or two and the overall design is such that the vehicles will serve several generations of drivers. You will have constructed an heirloom for your family. To make building these models easy, Toylander supply paper patterns for the plywood body and a build manual full of instructions and drawings to make your own steel parts if you wish. The manual shows how to assemble the parts into a body tub, how to bolt on the running gear (no chassis is required), how to wire up using the electric wiring diagram, how to apply the detail and complete the model. The build is straightforward and all parts are available from Toylander individually, in small packs or whole kits. You could customise your build if you so wished. But do not fear, all parts, including some ready cut body panels, are available from stock. Kits have already been exported to 30+ countries *********************************************
