Neville Tapp's 1984 109 V8 Series Land Rover
(location: New Zealand)

The Land Rover was originally owned by the NZ Justice Department. She's been around the clock a couple of times, but is still going strong.

Camping out at Cape Karikari, Far North

Since purchasing her, Neville has had to complete the following maintenance:

Machine the heads and replace the head gaskets
Replace the water pump
Replace the radiator
Refurbish the LPG unit
Replace all the leaf springs
Rebuild the gearbox

Other than that, she has been a good reliable vehicle

Neville and his wife only really use the Land Rover for beach access then fishing, and for camping. To provide the creature comforts while they are away, he has fitted a 12/24 volt fridge, gas hot water system, and a double bed that can be removed or installed in under 3 minutes.
